Sheep

The sheep graze year-round in the fields around our farm.

They lamb every spring, and the little lambs are absolutely adorable as they bounce around in the grass on their long legs.

We have chosen to keep two different breeds:

We love Spelsau because they are good at lambing on their own, and each one looks different, making it easy to recognize individuals and their personalities.

We acquired White-headed Marsh Sheep somewhat by chance, but we have come to appreciate their calm temperament. We also like that we are helping preserve an old Danish livestock breed.

We breed pedigree sheep and occasionally have breeding animals for sale. We are happy to put interested buyers on a waiting list so we can contact you when we have animals available.

We slaughter once or twice a year in the autumn and winter. It is always possible to sign up for the waiting list to buy lamb meat.
