Rabbits

We find rabbits fun to watch when they have plenty of space, and children love cuddling them or walking them on a leash.

We have baby rabbits several times a year, and they always become very comfortable around people because we get visits from so many kids who love to cuddle them. From time to time, we have rabbits for sale to good homes where they will have plenty of space and lots of good hay and greens. Baby rabbits typically cost DKK 400–550 each. All of our rabbits are fairly large and are suitable both as pets and for those who want to be self-sufficient or keep a couple of lively and fun “lawn-mowers.”

We used to breed rabbits for meat, but since we don’t eat much meat, we stopped. Rabbit meat is low in fat and cholesterol and can be prepared in many ways. It can be hard to find in Denmark, but now you've found it: You can buy bytchered rabbits from Bækgården Kaniner.
